Jehangir Art Gallery was established in 1952 that is an excellent choice for connoisseurs of art and painting. This prestigious gallery was founded by Cowasji Jehangir upon persuasion by Homi Jehangir Bhabha. It was Cowasji who bore the entire expense of construction of this art house. The design was the prepared by G.M. Bhuta.

There are in total four exhibition halls in Jehangir Art Gallery. A distinctive feature of this gallery is the option of displaying art works of artists who want to showcase their talent through their artworks. Before a work of art is accepted here, artists must apply for the same. The list of such artists is quite long which proves that it is a renowned gallery. Some of them have to wait for as long as one year to get a chance to show their work.
